PP Winter Comp. Week 3 ~ Creature

One of the joys of horse back riding is sometimes we get to see wildlife up close.  This buck just laid there watching us, the horses didn't even see him as you can tell by the direction that Colt is looking. We worried that if the buck jumped up and ran, it would scare the horses.  We were ready for the action but luckily when the buck did move, the horses only jumped slightly and watched him run off.

Picture Perfect Theme ♦ A Few of My Favorite Things ♦

I thought I would follow Gayle's lead and and show a few of my favorite Christmas decorations, most with a bit of a southwest and western theme to them. We really don't have room for a Christmas tree so I decorate various items.  The lights were not on for these photos.  I took these photos in our living room this week with the idea of using them in a blog but when I saw the Picture Perfect theme, took a different direction. 

Camera was on the tripod and I was using the remote to operate the camera and I was experimenting with manual settings.  The RAW files were downloaded to Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and exposure adjusted.  The two collages were then made from the 5 chosen photos.

Picture Perfect ~ Weather

Little Joe thought it was perfect weather to take his friends Yogi and Cindy Bear for a ride around the Rockin' Heart Ranch (Texas Panhandle).  The high light of the ride was seeing a Bald Eagle fly over the Ranch.
