Picture Perfect "Discovery" Theme
I often wonder what the horses are thinking --- and they do think. I have seen it over and over. This photo was taken this week. Sometimes we re-do or add to our obstacle training course for the horses. This spring I used the tractor and dug a small shallow ditch that we can fill with water. The dirt was piled on the north side for a small embankment. Little Joe was showing his stubborn side but yet curious side as he discovers this new obstacle. And yes, I finally convinced Little Joe to get his feet wet!
But he still needs more practice.

Awww....that's cute! LOL
ReplyDeleteClever - not to mention very nice looking - horse. Any reason why he's skittish about getting his feet wet? Just a dry kind of horse, I guess.
ReplyDeleteIt's natural for some horses to question what is being asked of them. This was a new object and Little Joe wanted to check it out very close before cooperating. Each of our horses reacted differently to this new discovery. I gave him plenty of time before insisting he get his feet wet and not jump across the water.
